Trex Recycling Program
This is a year-long endeavor to collect and recycle as many plastic bags as we can! We know that plastic bags do not decompose and if thrown in our landfills last forever. Also, animals can eat plastic bags and get very ill and die.
Elizabeth III
We are lucky enough to be assisting Cassella Slater with her dog Elizabeth! Elizabeth is in training for Canine Companions for Independence. This organization trains dogs to assist children and adults with disabilities. The service is provided to the disabled free of charge. Visiting our classroom helps Elizabeth become comfortable with smaller children. We love our role in helping her prepare for her future service life.

Middleburg Community Center Auction
We had so much fun designing and painting a platter to be auctioned at the Middleburg Community Center to raise funds! We all benefit from classes and events that the community center has to offer us.
Food Basket
Each year we do a food basket at least once that is given over the holidays to a local family in need. Thanks to coordinated efforts with Tootie from Banneker Elementary.
