> When it is your snack week, please remember to bring the following:
- cut flowers (for flower arranging work)
- carrots (large and unpeeled)
- apples (whole and firm)
> Things to think about when preparing snacks
- Please keep in mind the following allergeries we have at school this year: tree nuts, peanuts and garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
- When choosing bread or crackers for snack week, please choose whole grain varieties with no hydrogenated oils
- It is a good idea to offer snacks that allow the children to take as much or as little as they like, e.g.: sandwiches that have been quartered, fruit saled that has been cut into bite size pieces or bananas that can be halved.
- Think of healthy snacks your child enjoys and share that snack with the class, it's wonderful for the kids to be exposed to new tastes!
